Accessibility Audit Training

What are my legal obligations?
Supporting people with disabilities on digital platforms is a legal requirement in many countries. Laws such as:
- Equality Act 2010 (UK) and the European Accessibility Act 2025 set clear expectations.
- If you work with public bodies in the UK, you also need to meet the accessibility standards outlined in EN 301 549.
- If you create public services you also have to adhere to the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018.
What is an assistive technology?
An assistive technology is any physical device or piece of software that helps people with disabilities use an interface. This includes tools like head wands and mouth sticks for people with physical disabilities, screen readers for blind users, and digital screen magnifiers for people with low vision.
